The Division of Enforcement (DOE) of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) is dedicated to protecting the integrity of U.S. derivatives markets by investigating and prosecuting violations of the Commodity Exchange Act and CFTC regulations. Our mission is to hold wrongdoers accountable, safeguard market participants, and preserve public confidence in the financial system.
Investigations, Intelligence, and Asset Recovery.
Headquartered in Washington, D.C., with regional offices across the United States, the Division leverages cutting-edge technology, data analysis, and global cooperation to identify misconduct and pursue enforcement actions. We work closely with other regulators, law enforcement, and international partners to ensure that markets remain fair, transparent, and free from manipulation.
Complex financial misconduct often involves sophisticated networks and cross-border activities. Uncovering these schemes requires rigorous investigative work and the ability to turn evidence into actionable intelligence. Whether pursuing cases of fraud, market manipulation, or unlawful practices, our efforts are grounded in meticulous research, legal expertise, and a commitment to justice.
The Division of Enforcement applies a systematic and disciplined approach to every matter it undertakes. Each investigation is tailored to the facts, and our processes are continuously refined to adapt to evolving market structures and emerging threats. This methodical approach ensures that our enforcement actions are both effective and enduring.
